Five eligible bachelors vie for the affections of a lone, desirable blonde in the winsome romantic comedy I’m with Lucy (2002). Monica Potter stars as the eponymous heroine, a sharply dressed New Yorker in search of a spouse. Over the course of a single year, the curvy Lucy submits herself to five blind dates in search of the elusive Mr. Right. With a star-studded supporting cast that includes Gael Garcia Bernal, Anthony LaPaglia, and Julie Christie, Jon Sherman’s film is in many respects a big-budget reality TV show. Scoping Potter’s glorious frame for ninety minutes is obviously the draw, but the actress sadly refrains from rounding the bases with any of her gentlemen friends.
